👣 #WalkingSober Together 👣
Connection is important in the recovery journey. That's why we invite all alumni to join the weekly meeting every Tuesday at 6pm, available both in-person and online (request an online link here.) This weekly group meeting is not meant to replace AA or NA, but rather enrich your support network.
Each week, our counselor will help you tackle real challenges—like celebrating holidays soberly, avoiding relapse, strategies to deal with strong emotions, breaking the stigma around addiction, and taking advantage of community resources. These sessions are your safe space to connect, find friendship, give and receive support, and simply share your story and where you are in your recovery journey with like-minded individuals. All you have to do is show up.
Location: The Walker Center, Twin Falls
RSVP: Not required, just show up!
Building a Support System
Truth: Relationships can look different in recovery. No matter what, you deserve to have friends and family that will provide support and make you feel safe. If you don’t have that yet, don’t be afraid. It takes baby steps, and it all starts here.
Recovery reminder 👉 It’s always possible to come home again.
If you just finished a Walker Center treatment program and are looking to connect with others, request to join the closed Facebook group where you can connect and converse with fellow alumni.
Progress Over Perfection
Obstacles are inevitable in life, especially in recovery. When faced with a challenge, it's essential to pat yourself on the back for how far you have come, and remind yourself that you can overcome new challenges just like you have successfully overcome previous bumps in the road. Having the right tools and mindset can help pave the way.
Recovery reminder 👉You are worthy of recovery.
