How the Walker Center’s drug rehab program saved my life
“I remember putting that loaded 45 up to my face and thinking that I could end it. That my kids deserved better. A mom dead would be better than a mom absent because of drugs... I didn’t see any hope… I learned about The Walker Center in jail… It took a few days of getting to know them to realize that they really do care about what they’re doing… I know it’s right to be at The Walker Center, doing what I’m doing. I go to sleep with a clean conscience every night.” –– Amie
