If you are passionate about positively changing lives, The Walker Center is looking for you. You will be responsible for increasing brand awareness by marketing The Walker Center on a local level. You will also manage social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and plan and execute events to strengthen our alumni community. 

You will collaborate with our digital marketing agency by providing video content and collaborating to launch full-scale marketing campaigns to attract people to The Walker Center. 

You will also work directly with the Director of Community Outreach to assist in creating complimentary materials like emails and brochures, helping her build relationships with local businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to grow the social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) through strategic, ongoing content creation

  • Plan social media strategy, and themes, and collaborate with our digital marketing agency to ensure the content is on-brand

  • Produce and edit video content for social media as well as provide to our digital agency for web content

  • Build a content strategy and content calendar based on the overall digital marketing strategy

  • Schedule and post content to Instagram and Facebook- posts, videos, Reels, stories (3-5x a week) - must be comfortable shooting video, and interviewing employees, and alumni for video content

  • Communicate content plan with involved parties and hold members accountable to produce the content in a timely manner

  • Create and post appropriate articles to the LinkedIn company page, responsible for finding ways to grow the reach on LinkedIn

  • Respond to social media comments and bring comments to management’s attention to craft appropriate responses

  • Responsible for collaborating and coordinating with team members to ensure content is executed per the plan

  • Be a part of the team that leads the business strategy - come up with new ideas and strategies that will help us recruit more clients and increase brand awareness in our community 

  • Plan and execute events including alumni celebrations as well as fundraising events

  • Communicate and market events to alumni through email and social, also collaborating with digital marketing agency to promote on web

  • Work side by side with our marketing team to come up with campaign ideas and advise on strategies to grow The Walker Center’s business

  • Do competitor analysis and research industry trends on an ongoing basis

  • Have professional and technical knowledge of marketing strategies, marketing tools, and industry trends, especially online

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Act as Walker Center representative with media and other organizations

  • Travel around 30% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, PR, or Business, or three years of direct and related professional experience

  • Self-identified person in recovery from a substance abuse disorder must meet the minimum requirements of; 

    • one year of sobriety from substance(s) abused, 

    • or if person with less than one year of sobriety can demonstrate stable early recovery, has a strong recovery plan with protective factors for working in the behavioral health field, and maintain the ability to communicate their personal well-being needs in relation to maintaining sobriety; they may be considered for some positions not specifically identified below.

  • Any self-identified person in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder must have a minimum of three years of sobriety from substances of abuse. 

  • Primary Counselors, Treatment Supervisors and Client Support Specialists must meet these additional requirements as follows:

    • Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, UA, and TB test.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license
